Subsequently, we assisted with the design, development and commissioning of the manufacturing equipment which included mechanical, robotic, electrical and process development.
Now operational, the facility is one of the world’s most advanced solar technology productions sites. It manufactures and distributes globally its revolutionary range of high-quality products.
The automation solution relies on several automated product handling and processing cells. Each cell interconnects and communicates with upstream and downstream cells. The cells are fully automated and provides significant operator interfacing via their dedicated HMI units. The processes include glass welding, copper and steel welding and assembly.
A total of twenty Mitsubishi PLC’s control the functionality of the numerous cells whether that be the oven and carousel, the industrial ABB robots or the tube handing and testing cells.
